人气游戏大作《Fortnite》将会登陆 Android 平台，但官方已宣布并不会在 Google Play 上架，用家需要直接从 Epic 官方网站下载。外媒 9to5Google 发现，最近 Google 罕有在 Google Play 上贴出告示，表示《Fortnite Battle Royale》没有在 Play Store上架，防止用户错误下载盗版程式。
Epic Games 指不让《Fortnite Battle Royale》在 Play Store 上架的其中一个原因是不想把其中三成的利润与 Google 分享。现在，用户在 Play Store 上搜寻“Fortnite”，页面顶端会显示 Google 的提示指“Epic Games, Inc 开发的《Fortnite Battle Royal》未在 Google Play 推出。”
有人认为，Google 此举是为了防止用户下载恶意的游戏盗版。
事实上，Android 的设定也不鼓励用户从“未知来源”下载 App，以确保 Play Store 是主要的 App 下载平台。

有用户在 Twitter 发文指，在下载《Fortnite》时系统会弹出通知，提醒用户这是“未知来源”。若用户要继续下载，需开启接受从“未知来源”下载程式的设定。
《Fortnite Battle Royale》Android 版现在只兼容最近推出的设备。如 Galaxy Note 9，Tab S4﹑ S9 / S9 Plus ﹑Note 8﹑ Galaxy S8 / S8 Plus﹑Galaxy S7﹑ Galaxy S7 Edge 和 Tab S3 。据消息指，游戏在月尾将开放给所有 Android 机。
